South Mountain Creamery

Today I decided to go out and do something that I have wanted to do for awhile now and that is to go out to South Mountain Creamery and bottle feed the calves.  I have no idea why I waited so long.  This was so much fun and the calves were so cute.

This little guy is small and needs a little extra attention but from what I saw the staff is amazing and they'll give him what he needs.



This guy kept mooing anytime I walked away...he was so funny.

If you are anywhere near Middletown, MD be sure and check out South Mountain Creamery.  They have delicious ice cream, milk, yogurt, cheese, etc and of course, schedule your visit so that you can bottle feed the calves.

P52 Week 18, 19 and 20

I honestly have no idea how people blog daily I can't even do it weekly with any level of consistency.  I think for me it may have to do with working 2 jobs, perhaps.  So here is another catch up post on the P52 project I am working on.  So it seems week 18 I never picked up my camera I truly hope with the days being longer that I will have fewer and fewer of those weeks but I make no promises.

Week 19 is once again our cat Leo who sat on our saddle chair and looked to be posing for the camera.  I took one of Bear too but he was in front of the window and I didn't like the reflections so here is Leo.



Week 20 I took today of my Nelly Moser clematis.  I planted this 3 years ago and it has not bloomed and I wasn't sure it would ever bloom after our fire but today was the day!!!  I was so excited when I got home from work and saw this beauty.

The taste of sweet success!  I work part-time at the Kitchen Studio and this is a picture of a cheese pastry made by one of the students in the 3 part pastry series right before it went in the oven.  These danishes were absolutely delicious!  If you live in the Frederick, MD area you should definitely check out the classes offered at The Kitchen Studio.

P52 - week 15

On Sunday my husband and I went out for a walk.  I wanted to go looking for signs of Spring and I found these beautiful daffodils.

P52 - week 14

Last week two of my cats,  the two that are brothers, had a big cat fight in the morning and I was worried about leaving them to go to work but I had no choice so off to work I went.  When I came home neither greeted me so I was worried that one had really hurt the other.  I started searching the house for them and when I entered the guest room this is what I found......



I couldn't believe it but I was very happy to see it.  I wish I could so easily forgive and forget.

Catching up on my P52

You would think that it would be so easy to take one photo a week, however, I am finding that is not the case.  Things happen so this is not an apology but a catch for me so I know where I am.  Now normally if I missed a week or two in this kind of challenge I would just give up but I have decided to keep going.  I have missed weeks 6, 10 and 11.  I am now posting week 12 (last week's which I took but didn't get posted and week 13 (this week's photo)  ----woo hoo.

Here is week 11's photo.  My husband and I went out for a walk in our neighborhood and these pine cones caught my eye.  They have a soft focus but I really like it in this photo...it works for me.



This week's photo was taken last Sunday when I made Paella for some friends.  Unfortunately this one has a soft focus too and it doesn't work for this photo but it is the only I have since we were all hungry and the lighting in my house is not very good.  You gotta go with what you have, right?
