Tonight at the Baker Park Bandshell was Robert Eric's tribute to the piano man, Billy Joel.  Beautiful night with wonderful music can't ask for more than that.  Here are a couple of pictures from the concert.  I really wish the woman wasn't stand right in the center but not much I can do about it.

I have been baking a bunch this week getting ready to host coffee hour at our church on Sunday.  Today was three baking stations for mini muffins.  Here are two.

The top one was for corn muffins and the bottom picture was for blueberry muffins.

The last batch I made was banana, coconut, nut muffins, my favorite.

All in all a yummy day.

I had to walk downtown for a meeting today so I had the opportunity to photograph this building that I really like.  I love the randomness of the white rubbing off the brick.

It seems this week I am intrigued by the shop signs of downtown Frederick.  Here is another.

July 26, 2015

We have been talking about walking to church and today was the day.  Hot and humid, why not? Let me count the ways why not but since it was my suggestion I will keep it to myself...for once.
Here are my photos from the walk.

First up is the sign outside Firestone's Market.  Pay attention to the bottom portion of the sign, it says it all.

Next is the mural on Lord Nickens Way.

Lastly I have seen this big chicken from a distance but never close up.  I like him!  I want one.

Today I decided that I would just get in the car and drive until something caught my eye.  Today that was a tree that had rotted and fallen over as well as a fern.  I enjoyed the textures and colors.  I purposely kept the top photo darker - for some reason I liked it darker than lighter.  Tomorrow I might prefer the lighter, that is what keeps photography interesting.

When I restarted my blog I talked about my friend Cam restarting her photo walks here.  Tonight I joined her on her photo walk which included the Shab Row/Everedy Square farmers' market and Carroll Creek for Alive at Five.

Here are my photos from the walk.  I just wish the dragonfly would have been facing me but it was a beautiful night so I can't complain too much.  I hope you are getting out and enjoying the gorgeous weather!

Tonight I had to run up to Thurmont to get a book out of the library there and while we were up there we drove around and I took a couple of pictures.

This is a barn that I really liked but it was weirdly positioned on a road with a business right near it.  Hence, the wires and buildings.

This is a close up of the top of the barn.

I really like small stone churches so when I saw this one we turned around so I could take a few pictures.
