After 2 sinus infections, the flu and walking pneumonia I think I am finally healthy. Woo hoo!
A couple of weeks ago a friend asked what I planned to do about my blog....ummmm, well, ahhh. You get the picture I had not really given my blog much thought so I decided that I would get back to it and then nothing. So today, while we had a nice but cold day, Arthur and I went to Cunningham Falls for the maple syrup demonstration. We went two years ago and just like to go and listen to the rangers, take photos and walk the falls. It was a nice, relaxing day. Here is a picture of one of the buckets attached to a sugar maple that is tapped and you can see sap dripping into the bucket. We have had such cold weather here that the sap finally starting flowing this week and then we are supposed to get snow tonight so I don't know how long they will get sap for.
This is my first entry in months and I hope to get back to posting. Take care.

This is what I found this morning when I walked into the living room. The both look quite content. What you can't see is Gizmo is down at his feet too. Our furnace stopped working overnight and I guess everyone was trying to figure out how to stay warm.
Today is the last day of the #NaPhoPoMo series. The exercise was good in that it made me make sure that I stopped what I was doing at some point every day so I could take a photo. However, I felt that sometimes with working all day and coming home in the dark that I settled for photos that I wouldn't have normally. On the flip side I had to get creative on some so all in all I am really glad I took part.
Karen from Chookoolonks asked us to pick some favorites from the month. Below are two of my favorites.

As you all know today is known as Black Friday in the United States but here in my town in Maryland it is known as Frosty Friday. It marks the day Santa arrives in town and we have hot chocolate stands, bag pipers and even stilt walkers. These two were great.
This photo is part of a series called #NaPhoPoMo, where I am taking a photo a day for the month of November.

Today I have many things to be grateful for but the one that I am showing in this picture is Leo holding my hand. When he came to us a little over a year ago he had been a feral kitten who was attacked and had almost died before he was found in a drain. He has made some huge strides in the year that he has been with us but his biggest issue still is he loves to jump and attack the other cats and bite me. As you can see from this picture today he decided to just be a loving cat...what a blessing. Happy Thanksgiving to you all.
This photo is part of the #NaPhoPoMo series I am participating in.
